Vonpar optimizes processes with Infor Network Design

Vonpar, a leading Brazilian food and beverage company representing brands such as Coca-Cola and Heineken and employing over 5,000 people, faced a major logistics challenge: remodel its distribution processes to determine the optimal number, location, and size of facilities, set the right inventory levels and sourcing, reduce its carbon footprint, increase customer satisfaction, and lower operating costs.

Using Infor Network Design to run simulations and modeling, Vonpar kept three existing distribution centers, added one new center, and limited the number of distributors to optimize flows. The redesign produced significant annual savings, better facility and inventory decisions, reduced cycle times and emissions, and improved customer service and competitive position.
