A Infor Case Study
Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the regional transport authority for Glasgow and the West of Scotland, operating the city’s subway network that supports 14 million passenger journeys a year. Faced with a £370 million modernisation programme and responsibility for hundreds of assets—from trains and track to escalators and ticket machines—SPT needed a detailed, role-based view of asset cost, lifecycle and performance to benchmark downtime, optimise service availability and protect passenger satisfaction.
SPT worked with Sapphire Systems to upgrade to cloud-based Infor CloudSuite EAM, adding Infor Birst for analytics and Infor ION for integrations. Deployed to 300 users, the solution delivers role-based insights, workflow-driven alerts, mobile job assignment and competency-based crew allocation, plus streamlined warranty and spares management. The result is faster, more efficient work-order completion, better-informed decision making, improved asset reliability and stronger support for the subway modernisation programme.
