SESCAM improves asset health and saves with Infor EAM Enterprise

The Health Service of Castilla-La Mancha (SESCAM) is a publicly funded regional health system in Spain that operates 18 hospitals, 15 specialty centers, and 200 primary-care sites. Faced with fragmented maintenance and procurement practices, heavy reliance on paper and phone communications, limited visibility across facilities, and no unified history of asset performance, SESCAM needed a single system to manage both facilities and medical equipment, standardize maintenance, and reduce excessive purchasing and inventory costs.

SESCAM implemented Infor EAM Enterprise as a centralized asset management platform used by 1,720 users to manage roughly 205,000 assets and about 1,000 weekly work orders. The solution delivered real-time, corporate-wide visibility and benchmarking, cut response times and paper use, improved cost controls, extended asset life (delaying capital spend), streamlined processes, and improved incident communication and resource allocation—resulting in consolidated maintenance practices and measurable purchasing and inventory savings.
