Salto Grande optimizes asset management and safety with Infor EAM

Salto Grande, a major hydroelectric generator on the Argentina–Uruguay border producing 1,890 MW from 14 Kaplan turbines, faced outdated EAM software that hindered productivity, ERP integration, and environmental and worker safety. The company needed a modern asset-management platform to improve maintenance processes, decision-making, and safety across operations.

Between 2013 and 2016 Salto Grande implemented Infor EAM with support from Infor Consulting, rolling the solution out to 34 services and more than 330 users. The system optimized asset records and fleet controls, sped up data analysis, introduced workflows for incident and permit management, reduced human error and risk, and delivered KPIs, calibration programs and lifecycle-cost visibility—improving efficiency, safety and cost control.
