RAKWA boosts sustainability with Infor EAM

RAK Wastewater Agency (RAKWA) is the public utility in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, responsible for collecting and treating about 12 million cubic metres of wastewater annually across 4 treatment plants, 330 km of sewer network, and 13 pumping stations. Faced with thousands of capital assets and poor asset data, RAKWA struggled with reactive maintenance, high costs, downtime, and the strategic goal of increasing wastewater reuse.

RAKWA implemented Infor EAM (installed in mid‑2018) to log ~3,300 assets and automate maintenance planning and inventory management. The system shifted operations from reactive to proactive maintenance, cutting emergency work orders by 55–60%, reducing corrective maintenance by 17%, lowering operating costs by about 3%, and improving data-driven decision making—advancing RAKWA’s sustainability and reuse targets while enabling future IoT integration.
