PLG Group, a leading French distributor of professional and hygiene products with about 1,300 employees and roughly 200,000 customers, faced a complex IT and process landscape after acquisition—12 companies were running seven different proprietary systems. The business needed to consolidate financials, purchasing, sales, inventory and distribution while reclassifying 30,000 items and continuing to handle more than one million orders annually across 31 locations and multiple sectors.
PLG implemented the Infor M3 ERP platform, driven by a focused program team and staged rollouts, and extended the solution with BI, a webshop, mobile picking and CRM enhancements. The result was a standardized, secure system that gave managers a global view of transactions, improved inventory and margin control, optimized costs and processes, increased online sales opportunities, and created a scalable foundation for ongoing upgrades and module deployments.
