PAMA, an Italian leader in large horizontal boring machines and bespoke industrial equipment, experienced rapid international growth that stretched its legacy Infor Baan ERP beyond its capabilities. As a make-to-order manufacturer needing end-to-end visibility of complex orders, projects and post-sales service, PAMA ran a six-month vendor selection and chose Infor LN for its advanced order-management features and favorable total cost of ownership.

Implemented in just over six months, Infor LN now serves about 200 users across purchasing, project management, production, logistics, quality and service, interfacing with roughly 20 other systems. Its production work-order and Service modules deliver real-time control of estimates, costs, installations and support, removed the need for external tools, and enabled new web integrations (service and supplier portals, Andon machine-monitoring and ODM-based document management), yielding faster-than-expected improvements in reporting, efficiency and cross-department collaboration.
