Orio AB takes control of planning with Infor

Orio AB, a Sweden-based provider of parts for Saab and other brands, needed a cost-effective, scalable alternative to its former parent company’s demand-planning and supplier-management systems. The company had to support 1,100 suppliers and 64,000 part numbers and meet a non-negotiable six-month go-live despite a fragmented IT landscape, inconsistent data quality, and multiple third-party providers.

Orio implemented Infor Demand Planning and Infor Supplier Exchange, going live within the required six months. The solution gave 12 planners a live, statistically driven view of demand, produced single-source management reports, and supported suppliers via EDI or email. Results included 97.5% on-time fulfillment, reduced inventory and processing steps, improved supplier performance, and the capability to further speed orders with future direct deliveries.
