A Infor Case Study
The Municipality of Anchorage, responsible for services across a population of about 280,000, faced duplicated effort, inconsistent processes, slow customer service and multiple disparate systems that left citizens unsure where to report issues. Development Services staff sought a single, configurable system that would link departments, support mobile field access and reduce costs while allowing citizens to get problems resolved on first contact.
Anchorage implemented the Infor Public Sector suite (Code Enforcement, Building Permit, Customer Service and Trade License) to create one shared database and mobile-enabled workflows. Within a year they achieved 100% ROI, cut project costs by 12.4%, increased customer service delivery by 62%, saved inspectors 2–4 hours daily (about $758,000 annual salary savings for 25 inspectors), reduced active violation cases from 1,146 to about 270, eliminated eight disparate systems, and added online self-service and real-time inspection visibility.
