Liberty Steel UK forges ahead with Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise

Liberty Steel UK, part of the Liberty House Group, is a fully integrated steel manufacturer that expanded rapidly after acquiring Speciality Steels from Tata Steel UK in 2017. That acquisition left the new division without an ERP system or internal ERP expertise, yet still responsible for meeting aerospace, automotive, and oil-and-gas customer orders, managing supply chain and inventory, paying vendors, and handling payroll and time tracking—so it urgently needed a fast, industry-specific ERP solution.

After a three-month evaluation, Liberty Steel UK selected Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise and went live for 900 users in 13 months. The cloud-based system delivered built-in steel-industry functionality—HR self-service for 2,000 employees, sensor-based quality data, energy dashboards, and predictive maintenance—while offloading software management to Infor. The result: rapid deployment, improved operational visibility and HR capabilities, and a plan to standardize the platform across ten additional sites.
