Case Study: LEONI achieves double-digit inventory reductions and real-time supply visibility with Infor Supplier Exchange

A Infor Case Study

Preview of the LEONI Case Study

LEONI reduces stock with Infor Supplier Exchange

LEONI, a global wiring- and cable-system manufacturer with dozens of production sites and a large, dispersed supplier network, faced rising complexity from long inbound supply chains and an aging supplier-management system. The legacy process lacked real-time visibility into on‑hand inventory, consumption and transit status, preventing LEONI from moving to a leaner, more responsive replenishment model and reducing stock levels.

LEONI implemented a Collaborative Managed Inventory approach using Infor Supplier Exchange — a web‑based portal that shares real‑time forecasts, inventory and consumption data with suppliers (including many without EDI) and automates stock limits and supplier ratings. The solution now manages about 80–85% of material volumes, produced double‑digit stock reductions at several sites, improved supplier responsiveness and communication, and has been deployed across multiple countries with plans for wider rollout.
