A Infor Case Study
Lambton County Library, which serves 125,000 people across 25 branches in a 3,000 km² area, needed a way to extend access beyond open hours and physical locations, attract younger users, and add services without increasing staff or IT workload.
The library implemented Infor’s Iguana Library Mobile App (integrated with Infor V‑smart/V‑insight/Iguana), giving patrons on Android, iOS and Windows devices 24/7 access to branch collections, self‑service functions (reserve/cancel reservations, view/renew loans, track fines, maintain reading lists) and an ISBN barcode scanner. Within two months the app was used by patrons from 21 of 25 branches and saw rapid adoption—usage jumped dramatically month‑over‑month and self‑service transactions increased substantially, prompting continued promotion by library staff.
