King County Metro Transit Facilities improves State of Good Repair reporting with Infor CloudSuite EAM

King County Metro Transit Facilities, which maintains 171 transit facilities, 1,500 buses and more than 8,000 stops serving ~400,000 daily riders in King County, WA, faced an aging asset-management system that couldn’t streamline work orders, strengthen preventive maintenance, or produce the reporting needed to meet federal State of Good Repair (SGR) requirements. The team also wanted to consolidate parts and requisitions into EAM, add mobility and GIS capabilities, and reduce audit-related risk and manual effort.

They upgraded from Infor MP2 to Infor CloudSuite EAM and have since expanded its use across work orders, materials, equipment, purchasing, inspections, reporting and scheduling, plus GIS and mobile planning. The system now manages ~40,000 pieces of equipment, supports about 60,000 work orders a year (45% preventive maintenance), and maintains 1,500 SGR schedules—streamlining audits and improving PM compliance while enabling ongoing growth and further mobile and warranty use.
