Instrument Technology doubles profits with Infor VISUAL

Instrument Technology, Inc. (ITI), a Westfield, Massachusetts manufacturer of borescopes, fiberscopes and videoscopes, struggled with limited real-time visibility, poor inventory control, lengthy lead times, inconsistent budgetary reporting, quality “silos,” and the need to support future growth and more flexible operations.

Implementing Infor VISUAL ERP gave ITI automated, real-time visibility and reporting, standardized quality processes, and better purchasing and sourcing control. The results: doubled profit margins and more than twice the shipments with no increase in overhead; lead times cut 67% and work-in-process inventory reduced 60%; on-time delivery rose from 75% to 95–100%; and productivity increased 43%, alongside clearer decision-making and stronger internal controls.
