Amatola Water is a South African state-owned, non-profit bulk water services provider serving local government across the Eastern Cape with around 43 plants. Facing rapid service expansion into areas like infrastructure development, water-resource management and scientific services, the organization needed to change business processes, improve response times to compete with the private sector, and manage operations across a broader geographic territory.

Amatola upgraded from Infor Baan V to Infor LN (implemented with Softworx), completing the ERP rollout in four months on time and within budget while meeting 99% of its requirements. The new system centralized data across four regional business units, sped up billing, time/material allocations and costing, and gave decision makers faster, more accurate information—enabling smoother operation of new units and stronger competitiveness.
