Hydro-Scape Products, a San Diego–based distributor of irrigation and landscape products with 18 branches and over 19,000 SKUs, needed to streamline and automate operations to improve order accuracy, customer service speed, productivity, and profitability. To meet those goals the company implemented Infor Distribution SX.e for distribution-specific ERP functionality and MaxRecall for integrated document capture and retrieval.
MaxRecall was rolled out first in accounts receivable and then accounts payable and the irrigation control systems group, using ERM, text processing and remote indexing to capture pick tickets, invoices, statements and remittances and to link related documents. The result was much faster document retrieval and processing (a 64–pick-ticket request went from ~60 minutes to 10 minutes), elimination of a full‑time temporary scanner operator, better customer responsiveness, and broader adoption across technical services, accounting and HR.
