HKL Baumaschinen GmbH, Germany’s leading construction equipment rental and sales firm with about 30,000 machines and a nationwide branch network, needed to better manage rapid growth and complex leasing operations. The company sought an integrated system to map corporate processes, support graduated pricing and multifaceted lease calculations, and reduce many manual accounting checks.

Partnering with C3 Consulting, HKL upgraded from Infor ERP Baan to Infor LN and built an integrated ERP module that handles leasing parameters such as duration, meter/tach readings, weather outages, graduated discounts, commissions, and special delivery/return charges. The rollout—guided by thorough process mapping—improved nationwide availability checks, introduced unique serial-number inventory tracking and lease sign-off, and sharply reduced maintenance, development and overall operating costs.
