Case Study: Gruppo Coin achieves centralized control of assets and facilities with Infor EAM

A Infor Case Study

Preview of the Gruppo Coin Case Study

Gruppo Coin takes control of assets and facilities with Infor EAM

Gruppo Coin, a leading Italian retail group with over 1,000 points of sale, struggled to manage thousands of store assets (HVAC, fire and alarm systems, PA systems, IT hardware, etc.) across sites using 20 external maintenance suppliers. Maintenance scheduling and extraordinary calls were coordinated by email, spreadsheets and phone, making SLA compliance, cost control and centralized monitoring nearly impossible for the internal technical team.

Gruppo Coin implemented Infor EAM with partner Know‑How, building a centralized asset database, role‑based access and work‑order management, then rolled the system out after a one‑year implementation and pilot. The result: real‑time visibility into assets and maintenance, stronger SLA enforcement and cost monitoring, standardized procedures across stores and suppliers, and new capabilities (mobile access, barcode tagging and a “virtual bulletin board”) that have made EAM an essential control tool.
