A Infor Case Study
Group Dekko, a $165M diversified manufacturer with about 1,500 employees across 11 facilities, needed an ERP that could handle everything from repetitive production to job-shop work, support a paperless shop floor, and preserve the fast turnaround and service that differentiate it from competitors (and sometimes its customers). With geographically dispersed plants and a wide product mix—office furniture, transportation and industrial components, lighting, appliances, medical and consumer goods—the company also needed standardized processes and real-time information to speed orders into production.
Group Dekko implemented Infor LX on IBM i and added Infor Corporate Performance Management, EPAK and Infinium FMS to enable paperless, real-time processing, standardized workflows, EDI and business intelligence, with a web-enabled customer portal planned. The results: inventory down 40%, average quoting time cut from 14 to 3 days, orders moved from phone to shop floor in under 5 minutes, on-time shipping up from 97% to 99%, workflow customizations reduced from 6,700 to 200, and faster, more informed executive decision-making.
