DAB PUMPS, an Italian leader in motor-driven water pumps with multiple production plants and global sales offices, needed to standardize systems and processes across a complex, multi-company, multi-site, multi-currency, and multi-language environment. The company also had to support a shift from make-to-stock to make-to-order and engineer-to-order manufacturing, expand into emerging markets while meeting local regulations, and retain operational flexibility for a mix of standard and custom products.

DAB implemented Infor LN along with Infor ION, BI, and Corporate Performance Management as a two-tier ERP solution, using a global kernel and Dynamic Enterprise Modeling to standardize processes while accommodating site-specific needs. In just 11 months the rollout covered seven countries (with plans for four more), automated processes, retired legacy systems and customizations, and delivered greater agility, lower total cost of ownership, and improved ability to meet diverse market and manufacturing requirements.
