A Infor Case Study
CONO Kaasmakers is a Dutch cooperative of about 500 dairy farmers that produces 30 million kilos of artisanal cheese a year under brands such as BeemsterKaas. After moving from wholesaling to selling directly into supermarkets, the company faced far greater product variety, complex maturing and outsourced logistics, and slow, inconsistent reporting from an inflexible legacy ERP that required custom development—making it hard for management to get timely, accurate revenue and cost data by product and customer.
To support its new retail strategy CONO implemented Infor M3 on IBM iSeries, integrated with IBM Cognos and delivered by partner Alfa-Beta Solutions. The configured solution handles production, planning, logistics, finance and distribution and supports variable units/weights, co-products, shrinkage, cost models, EDI and flexible pricing. As a result the company now gets fast, accurate insights—at the press of a button—into sales, margins, discounts and stock (including outsourced inventory), enabling quicker, more confident decisions and better cost and revenue control.
