Cianbro Equipment, a Pittsfield, Maine construction equipment rental and services company, had outgrown a patchwork of spreadsheets, paper records, and manual processes for managing a fleet of about 3,500 pieces of equipment, 21,000 serialized tools, tens of thousands of bulk tools and forms, and a large consumables inventory. That fragmented environment made rental order processing, maintenance coordination, procurement alignment, and accurate reporting slow and error-prone.

Working with partner LeanSwift, Cianbro consolidated its operations onto Infor M3 (upgrading to 13.4), centralizing data and standardizing workflows. The implementation accelerated order-to-shipment processing, improved equipment availability and maintenance tracking, enabled mass updates to complex rental agreements, and eliminated much manual data entry—delivering better reporting, reduced downtime, and a scalable foundation for future IoT and RFID integrations.
