CEFAS is an Argentine lime manufacturer supplying more than 60% of the country’s lime-based construction products and serving industries across Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Facing frequent unplanned equipment downtime, the company needed to replace fragmented Excel-based and plant-specific maintenance processes with a unified, company-wide preventative maintenance program and gain better control of spare parts purchasing and inventory.

CEFAS implemented Infor EAM (with channel partner VKsur) to standardize maintenance across independently managed plants and enable preventative maintenance and optimized task scheduling. The system eliminated unplanned downtime, improved plant and equipment performance and maintenance productivity, created full visibility into failures and spare-parts inventory, and reduced purchasing costs while streamlining stock levels.
