A Infor Case Study
Caleres, Inc., a global footwear company operating over 1,300 stores including more than 1,100 Famous Footwear locations, sought to improve retail employee retention and cut replacement costs by making better hiring decisions. The challenge was to identify the cognitive and behavioral traits tied to strong retail performance, match candidates to customized job profiles for hourly and management roles, and maintain high customer service standards through improved employee selection.
Caleres implemented Infor Talent Science to assess candidates against tailored job profiles, using cognitive and behavioral data to recommend ideal hires. The program reduced turnover and hiring costs, with more than 70% of hires coming from the “recommended” category, a 33.62% lower 30-day turnover (13.52% lower at 90 days) for recommended hires, and an overall 11.83% lower turnover versus other groups, while improving customer service and expanding the assessment across the U.S. workforce.
