WallStreet Financial Services Firm - Customer Case Study

A Wall Street financial services firm that handles equity and fixed‑income trading and investment banking was running DNS and DHCP on distributed servers using custom in‑house scripts. That ad‑hoc approach became fragile and hard to support as developers left, producing outages and name‑resolution problems and prompting the need for a centralized, commercially supported solution.

The firm deployed Infoblox Grid™ (DDI) to provide centralized management, replicated DHCP/DNS databases, redundancy and automatic failover. Since rollout they’ve experienced no DNS or DHCP outages, achieved high availability and greater visibility, and plan to expand the Infoblox appliances into the DMZ and external DNS servers.
