United Biscuits, a leading global branded snacks company with manufacturing, distribution and office sites across Europe, was struggling with rapid growth in IP devices and the increasing use of networked systems on its corporate network. Their existing DNS/DHCP/IPAM software was costly (licenced per IP object), hard to upgrade, and required a fat client for operators, creating maintenance headaches and escalating renewal costs.

UB deployed an Infoblox Grid—two physical appliances and two virtual vNIOS members with a Grid Master/backup—to consolidate DNS, DHCP and IPAM on a resilient, centrally managed platform. The web-based appliance model simplified upgrades and administration, improved reliability and disaster recovery, reduced configuration errors, and cut annual renewal costs by about 30%.
