Torus, a global specialty insurer with more than 600 employees across 13 offices, needed a highly reliable, scalable network foundation for core DNS, DHCP and IP address management as it expanded into new geographies. With a small IT team and Microsoft general-purpose servers that would not scale to support growth, the company required centralized management, automation and high availability to maintain service levels without adding headcount.

Torus deployed a purpose-built Infoblox DDI solution—about 20 appliances running NS1, DNSone and Grid™ technology plus Infoblox NetMRI—with HA pairs and Anycast across regional sites and a single, centralized GUI. The result was simplified, automated administration, real-time IP visibility, faster troubleshooting, built-in high availability and routine patching/upgrades, enabling one-person network operations to manage a rapidly growing global environment and significantly reducing operational overhead.
