The Equitable Bank - Customer Case Study

The Equitable Bank, a Wisconsin community bank with 12 branches serving southeastern customers since the 1920s, needed a more reliable and secure core network solution. Its legacy Linux/BIND setup was near end-of-life, required specialist maintenance, exposed the bank to security risks from outdated software, and offered poor disaster-recovery and centralized management capabilities—threatening day-to-day operations and regulatory expectations.

Working with reseller Avtex, the bank implemented three Infoblox appliances to provide high availability, centralized management, simplified patching, and one-button disaster recovery. The new solution cut expert maintenance time, delivered more than 30% annual cost savings versus the prior approach, and has provided stable, trouble-free DNS services since deployment in February 2009.
