Teraoka Seiko - Customer Case Study

Teraoka Seiko Co., Ltd., a Tokyo-based maker of scales, POS systems and store automation used across food processing and retail, needed to ensure reliable, always-on network services across 49 global locations (about 100 sites on VPNs and several thousand managed nodes). Their existing FreeBSD/BIND DNS and DHCP setup lacked redundancy, required specialist skills to maintain, made patching and IP address management cumbersome, and posed risks as traffic and IPv6 adoption grew.

Teraoka deployed Infoblox Grid technology with Infoblox 1550, 1050 and 550 appliances in HA pairs to centralize DNS/DHCP/IPAM, automate updates and simplify management via a graphical interface. The result was fast automatic failover, streamlined patching and centralized administration, significantly improved system reliability and a scalable foundation for business continuity and disaster recovery.
