Swedish Television - Customer Case Study

Sveriges Television (SVT), Sweden’s public-service broadcaster with six channels, 29 offices and about 3,000 employees, was operating a mixed Microsoft/BIND DNS and DHCP environment that frequently caused reverse‑lookup failures, duplicate IP addresses, long outages and high administrative overhead. SVT needed a standardized, reliable platform with integrated IP address management that would work with its broadcast equipment and reduce downtime.

SVT deployed 24 Infoblox appliances (including HA pairs at headquarters and regional nodes) to provide internal and external DNS, DHCP and IPAM. The new solution eliminated reverse‑lookup and duplicate‑IP incidents, let helpdesk staff handle IP tasks, simplified administration, improved 24x7 reliability and delivered operational savings of well over $100,000 annually.
