St. Joseph Health System - Customer Case Study

St. Joseph Health System, a large Orange County–based integrated Catholic health care organization with more than 14 hospitals and numerous outpatient and support services, relies on distributed IP networks and applications for clinical and administrative work. During a Microsoft Active Directory migration SJHS identified DHCP fault-tolerance shortcomings and, given strict HIPAA requirements, needed an easy-to-deploy, AD-compatible, scalable and secure solution to ensure nonstop DNS and DHCP while simplifying management.

SJHS deployed more than 15 Infoblox appliances running the DNSone package (initially in high-availability pairs) to offload DNS, DHCP and IPAM while integrating with Microsoft AD. The deployment delivered continuous, resilient network identity services, reduced administration and total cost of ownership, improved security and scalability, and ensured reliable access to critical applications across its hospitals to better serve patients.
