Pelco, the world’s largest video security equipment manufacturer with a global dealer network and offices across multiple continents, needed a more reliable, secure and easy-to-manage way to deliver critical DNS, DHCP and IPAM services. Its prior reliance on Microsoft Active Directory and distributed Windows servers caused slow responses, fault-tolerance and upgrade issues that strained IT staff and threatened availability—especially as Pelco prepared to roll out VoIP, which requires immediate, reliable IP addressing.

Pelco deployed eight Infoblox appliances running DNSone/Keystone, rapidly replacing failing Windows DNS servers and establishing high-availability pairs for internal and external DNS/DHCP integrated with centralized AD. The solution provided nonstop DNS/DHCP/IPAM, simplified administration, increased reliability and security, reduced IT overhead, and gave the team the confidence to move forward with VoIP deployment.
