Colruyt Group, an 80‑year‑old Belgian retail conglomerate with more than 20 brands, 30,000 employees and roughly 800 locations worldwide, was straining a 20‑person network team as its IT footprint grew. Legacy, script‑based processes were time‑consuming and error‑prone—tasks that should take seconds often took minutes—undermining efficiency and cost‑saving goals.

Working with partner SecureLink, Colruyt deployed Infoblox DNS/DDI and NetMRI to automate and centralize network management across thousands of devices (1,000+ servers, 4,000 switches, 1,000 routers, 6,000 access points) using 11,000 licenses. The solution increased visibility, automated routine tasks, reduced operational costs (for example by deactivating unused ports), freed engineers to focus on strategic initiatives like mobile payments and BYOD, and enabled remote “self‑service” provisioning for new stores.
