Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) serves 69 campuses and more than 52,000 students across North Texas. After moving from Novell to Microsoft’s bundled DNS/DHCP, the district found the solution unstable and unable to support a rapidly growing, technology‑driven environment—30,000 iPads already deployed, a BYOD initiative, and over 100,000 networked devices—while being managed by a four‑person network team.

LISD implemented Infoblox Grid and DDI with 12 appliances (internal servers, an external HA pair, and a consolidated database pair), deployed in one weekend with Infoblox Professional Services providing automation and support. The cutover was smooth and the district gained a rock‑solid, easy‑to‑manage DNS/DHCP platform that provides stability, failover, and simplified administration for the small IT staff.
