A Infoblox Case Study

Preview of the Large Federal Defense Agency Case Study

Large Federal Defense Agency - Customer Case Study

A large federal agency responsible for cyberspace operations faced fragmented DNS and IP management across hundreds of globally distributed, individually managed sites. The agency lacked centralized visibility, standardization, security compliance (including DISA STIG issues), high availability and scalable reporting for hundreds of thousands of DNS records, and required DNSSEC and audit-ready query reporting across two large Grids.

Infoblox implemented a large-scale Grid solution—Trinzic appliances with DNSSEC, Trinzic Reporting, HA Grid pairs, AD integration and HSM support—providing centralized management with delegated local control. The deployment delivered resilience, greatly improved visibility and scalability, centralized reporting and analytics, FIPS/HSM integration for compliance, and an Authority to Operate, and is now being actively deployed across the agency.
