A Infoblox Case Study
INTEGRIS Health, Oklahoma’s largest not-for-profit health system with over 50 WAN locations and about 9,000 employees, supports hundreds of critical applications across hospitals, clinics and specialty centers. The network team faced erratic external DNS behavior, misconfigured name forwarding, slow user response times, frequent Windows patching and hardware maintenance demands, and limited staff availability for around-the-clock upgrades.
INTEGRIS deployed Infoblox appliances running the DNSone package as its core external name servers; the appliances were quick to install and use one-button upgrades, cutting upgrade time to roughly 30 minutes and reducing the patch burden via a hardened OS and CERT monitoring. The change improved DNS reliability and performance, freed staff time, strengthened security, and led INTEGRIS to consider expanding Infoblox for DHCP/VoIP and internal DNS.
