Council Rock School District - Customer Case Study

Council Rock School District, a large Pennsylvania district supporting roughly 13,500 users across 16–18 buildings, faced a fragmented, hard-to-manage network: distributed Microsoft DHCP servers, 257 switches to maintain, and growing malware and insider risks — all managed by a small IT team of about ten. The district needed centralized core services, better switch visibility and change tracking, and stronger network-level security without adding staff.

CRSD deployed Infoblox DDI on two 1410 appliances, NetMRI for switch management, DNS Firewall for threat blocking, and engaged Infoblox Professional Services. The result: centralized, role-based DHCP and IP address management eliminated error-prone spreadsheets and reduced unauthorized changes; NetMRI simplified switch updates and auditing; and DNS Firewall enabled rapid detection and removal of infected machines, significantly improving security and saving staff time.
