Clark County School District - Customer Case Study

Clark County School District, the sixth-largest in the U.S. with more than 315,000 students, 36,000 staff and 357 schools, faced an aging 15-year-old BIND DNS system that required extensive manual work from a few experts and left an increasingly open network vulnerable to security threats.

The district deployed Infoblox appliances for DNS and DHCP, plus DNS Firewall and DNSSEC, with Infoblox Professional Services assisting the rollout. The installation was seamless, automation and centralized IPAM reduced routine workloads and enabled easier delegation, and DNS Firewall/DNSSEC improved protection against DNS-exploiting malware and DDoS—Infoblox now runs DNS for the entire district.
