Aoyama Gakuin Christian Academy - Customer Case Study

Aoyama Gakuin Christian Academy is a large multi-campus educational institution in Japan with about 25,000 students. It faced rising operational costs and complexity from nearly 20 separate BIND-based DNS servers and multiple Windows DHCP servers, with no centralized IT team and faculty lacking the skills to manage individual systems; patching, upkeep and fault diagnosis were time-consuming and error-prone.

The school deployed Infoblox Grid appliances (Infoblox 1550 grid master with HA, a grid master candidate, 1050s for DNS/DHCP and 550s for office DHCP) to centralize and simplify DNS/DHCP management. The integrated GUI, automated grid-wide patching and HA failover cut server count and operational load, sped up patching and improved stability and recoverability—delivering cost and time savings and more resilient network services.
