Allied Irish Banks - Customer Case Study

Allied Irish Banks (AIB), a major Irish retail and business bank with hundreds of sites and a strong focus on digital and mobile services, needed to upgrade its DNS, DHCP, and IP address management. Its legacy Vital QIP system was costly to license per IP, complex to upgrade, and required significant hands-on maintenance, so AIB sought a more economical, easier-to-manage DDI solution.

AIB replaced Vital QIP with four Infoblox appliances using Infoblox Gridâ„¢ DDI, deployed in active/active pairs and integrated with Microsoft Active Directory. The migration was seamless, the cutover invisible to users, and the solution reduced licensing costs (paying for itself in three years), cut administrative effort, improved reliability and upgrade speed, and freed staff to focus on more strategic work.
