A Infoblox Case Study
A. H. Belo, publisher of four daily newspapers including The Dallas Morning News, was relying on a legacy BIND/Linux stack to provide DNS, DHCP and IP address management. The aging, command-line driven system was unreliable, time-consuming to maintain, prone to manual errors and offered little visibility into IP allocations—a particular burden for a very lean IT team with only one dedicated IPAM resource.
A. H. Belo deployed Infoblox Trinzic Grid appliances (HA pairs across sites) and plans to add Infoblox Trinzic NetMRI, replacing OS-based tools with a purpose-built, centrally managed platform. The result: resilient, easy-to-upgrade DNS/DHCP, built-in IPAM and an intuitive GUI that eliminated manual spreadsheets, reduced administration overhead, improved troubleshooting and provided real-time network visibility and stronger business continuity.
