Robonect builds compact network devices that monitor and provision remote sites without onsite staff, providing a web interface to manage networks, servers, telephony, power supplies and sensors. Their challenge was to reliably collect and analyze IoT and DevOps metrics—including onboard flash memory—on constrained ARM hardware and to enable autonomous backup management over mobile connections.

Robonect uses InfluxData’s InfluxDB as the time-series backbone. InfluxDB’s ARM support, single small binary and built-in aggregation/filtering/merge tools let them run efficient local telemetry, automation and troubleshooting, producing a fully autonomous system that supports remote backup management over mobile and robust real-time and historical monitoring.
