Netvlies, a web consulting agency in the Netherlands, needed a more scalable, integrated DevOps monitoring solution for about 40 LAMP and dedicated VPS servers. Their existing stack relied on Nagios and NRPE for checks, but they wanted a unified, modern observability platform that could simplify monitoring and alerting as their infrastructure grows.

They adopted InfluxDB to store metrics (ingested via graphios) and Grafana for dashboards, providing clear, centralized visibility across servers. New servers are being evaluated with Telegraf as the agent and Kapacitor for processing and alerts; this approach already supports their current monitoring needs and sets a clear path to migrate older hosts and phase out Nagios in favor of a single integrated stack.
