Mirantis helps more than 200 enterprises build and operate private cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and related open source technologies like Kubernetes. They needed a scalable way to collect, store and query time-series metrics from OpenStack infrastructure as part of a Logging, Monitoring, Alerting (LMA) toolchain delivered as Fuel plugins for Mirantis OpenStack deployments.

Mirantis implemented InfluxData’s InfluxDB to store and query their OpenStack metrics, integrating it into the LMA toolchain and Fuel plugins. The SQL-like query syntax and native tagging at the database level simplified metric querying and organization, delivering reliable, scalable monitoring across their OpenStack environments.
