Football Addicts is the team behind ForzaFootball, an iOS and Android app delivering live scores, lineups, push notifications, polls and highlights for 800+ leagues worldwide. After rewriting their push notification system from scratch in Elixir, they needed a reliable monitoring solution to gather metrics and ensure the new system’s health and performance.

They built a monitoring stack around InfluxDB, using Telegraf to aggregate application and system metrics via its fast UDP interface, InfluxDB to store the time-series data, and Kapacitor for alerting and downsampling. This stack gave them comprehensive, real-time metric collection, storage and alerting tailored to the new notification service.
