A Influxdata Case Study
eBay, a global commerce leader connecting millions of buyers and sellers, faced the challenge of monitoring and analyzing large, time-sensitive data streams across multiple teams and services. Teams needed real-time visibility into infrastructure health (including an internal Elasticsearch-as-a-service), experiment and data-quality metrics, and anomaly/traffic predictions at scale — ingesting roughly 2,000 metrics per minute and storing nearly a billion analyzed records.
eBay standardized on InfluxDB with Grafana to store, query and visualize time-series data. This combination gave teams fast insight into cluster health and experiment metrics, supported scalable storage and retrieval of prediction results, simplified setup and API-driven management, and enabled quicker remediation and more reliable decision-making across infrastructure and analytics workflows.
