A Influxdata Case Study
Drivy is Europe’s leading peer-to-peer car rental marketplace, offering tens of thousands of cars to over a million users across several countries. As their web and mobile platforms grew, the DevOps team needed a monitoring solution that could store both raw and aggregated production metrics without impacting application performance, eliminate external dependencies, and give them flexible, SQL-like querying and aggregation control to replace legacy tools like Graphite (and eventually New Relic).
Drivy adopted InfluxDB to power DevOps monitoring, pushing metrics into a single, easy-to-deploy time-series database. InfluxDB lets them store raw and aggregated data, use InfluxQL and Continuous Queries for controlled aggregation, support UDP ingestion, and avoid external service dependencies. The switch enabled Drivy to retire Graphite, move away from New Relic, and gain better observability and operational control with minimal overhead.
