CJC, a managed-services and consultancy firm for global capital markets, set out to build mosaicOA, a big-data ITOA platform to give trading firms real‑time visibility into massive time‑series metrics (CPU, memory, network and industry-specific feeds) generated by hundreds of servers and vendor feeds—sometimes exceeding a million writes per minute. Clients needed fine-grained, long‑term retention and fast visualizations to support root‑cause analysis, forecasting and capacity planning, but existing relational tools were costly, ill‑suited to time‑series data and limited by cloud data‑gravity and egress concerns.

CJC built mosaicOA on InfluxDB in a private cloud, using retention policies to preserve data shape at multiple granularities, Solace messaging and collectors to ingest streams, and a proprietary persistence engine plus the CIMP process for event detection and projection. The result: real‑time, drill‑down visualizations, predictive alerts and major storage cost savings, enabling proactive capacity management, reduced risk of outages, competitive pricing versus public clouds and rapid delivery of new features to clients.
