How We Helped MedImmune Increase Productivity — and Win an ISPE Facility of the Year Award

InflexionPoint partnered with MedImmune, a part of AstraZeneca, to help increase production capacity at its egg-based vaccine manufacturing facility in Liverpool, UK. The customer's challenge was to automate its production processes and equipment to meet higher demand for its vaccines.

The solution from InflexionPoint involved implementing a new control system based on Rockwell ControlLogix PLCs and FT-ViewSE HMIs, which included a vision system for egg inspection. This upgrade provided greater automation, enhanced visibility with new batch reporting, and increased overall productivity. As a result of the project, the facility won an ISPE Facility of the Year award.
