Real Time Video Surveillance Increases Safety on Italy’s Motorways

Autovie Venete, the Italian motorway operator responsible for key routes in the northeast of the country, needed to improve safety, security, and traffic oversight across busy interchanges, bridges, and critical sections of its network. To support its Traffic Control Centre, the company turned to Infinova and its high-speed PTZ dome cameras with 35x zoom and fiber optic transmission.

Infinova implemented a real-time video surveillance system using more than 300 Infinova V1749A-C1C2B6 high-speed PTZ cameras, integrated with the motorway’s control center and video wall. The solution gave operators 24/7 monitoring, better image quality, rapid incident response, and uninterrupted viewing of traffic areas, helping improve traffic flow and reduce crime on the motorway.
